One box, one question
Cookies
The short version: one cookie, only with your yes, and revocable at any time.
Cookies are small text files that a website can store on your device in order to recognise you on your next visit or to analyse your behaviour. This is a translation for convenience; in case of doubt the German version is the authoritative one.
(1) Simply visiting: none
As long as you don't click anything, this website stores nothing on your device. No cookie, no entry in your browser's storage, no identifier.
(2) With your agreement: audience measurement
On your first visit we ask whether we may count. If you say yes, Google Analytics sets two cookies:
“_ga” and “_ga_2NLNQMT048” — they contain a randomly generated identifier that recognises your device across several page views, so that ten page views by one person don't become ten visitors. Both expire after two years.
The legal basis is your consent under § 25(1) TDDDG. If you say no, the script is not loaded at all and no cookie is created. The site works fully either way.
Your decision itself we remember in your browser's local storage under “sc_einwilligung” — not in a cookie, because your decision is no business of our server. Without that entry we would have to ask you again on every visit; it is therefore exempt from consent under § 25(2)(2) TDDDG.
(3) Changing your mind
At the foot of every page you'll find “Cookie settings”. You can change your decision there at any time — in either direction and without giving a reason.
If you withdraw, we delete the Google Analytics cookies immediately, and the script is no longer loaded from the next page view onwards.
(4) Embedded services
Fonts, images and the promotional film sit on our own server. No maps and no video players are embedded from other people's servers.
The Google reviews shown on the home page are fetched by our server, not by your browser — no connection is made between your device and Google.
On the “Booking enquiry” page sits the enquiry form of our booking system. It comes from campbuchung.de and is loaded when that page is called up; your browser establishes a connection to that server in the process. The provider may set cookies, which then concern their frame.
(5) The internal administration area
When a member of staff signs in at /admin, a technically necessary cookie is set for their session. It is strictly necessary for the use of that protected area and is therefore exempt from consent under § 25(2)(2) TDDDG. Without signing in it does not come into being, and for guests the area is of no relevance. Details in section (14) of the privacy policy.
(6) When you leave our site
On external sites such as the booking system or our social media profiles, their terms apply. Those providers may set cookies; we have no influence over that.
Should another service ever be added, we will ask you again — a consent only ever covers what it was given for.
