Wind, waves & board
Water sports
Onshore wind, shallow water and two surf schools right on site — Fehmarn's west coast is made for surfing.
A paradise for water sportsFehmarn's west coast
The west coast of Fehmarn is a genuine paradise for water sports: steady wind, gentle waves and a beach you can walk into the water from without leaving the site. What's a drive somewhere else is a few steps over the dyke here.
Two surf schools sit on the campsite itself, and a third partner school in Orth will teach you wing surfing. All the instructors hold the VDWS licence. Your own kit is welcome, but equipment can also be hired on site.

What you can dofour sports, one beach

Kitesurfing
Beginner courses for anyone holding a kite for the first time, and advanced courses to take you further. On your own or in a group, equipment included.
Windsurfing
The classic on the west coast. Courses at every level, plus boards and rigs to hire — by the hour too, if you just want to get back on the water.
Wing surfing
The new one: with a hand-held wing you carry the drive yourself and the wind takes you across the water, with no fixed rig at all — somewhere between surfing and flying. Courses run at our partner school in Orth on Fehmarn, and you can sign up through the schools on site.
Stand-up paddling
For calm days without wind: SUP boards are available to hire, and the shallow bay in front of the site is exactly the right place to practise.
The surf schoolsboth on site

Two independent schools, both with VDWS-licensed instructors, both on the campsite. Booking happens with the school directly: by phone, on WhatsApp or through their website.
By the rear beach access
Kitesplash
A kitesurfing and stand-up paddling school at the rear beach crossing. Beginner courses or advanced levels, private or in a group, with or without your own kit, taught by experienced VDWS-licensed instructors. If you'd rather take it gently, hire a SUP or book the sunset tour.

Two-day beginner course
Adventure Kite
Andi and his team are out on the water with you, with real enthusiasm and years of kitesurfing behind them. Their motto: everything's possible, nothing's compulsory. What matters most is that everyone feels comfortable. The two-day beginner course is the one to go for — though you can also just hire a SUP and paddle into the sunset. Drop by and meet the team over a coffee.
