An active holiday

Sport & fitness

Sport and fresh air for every age, from morning yoga through archery and ball games to kitesurfing right in front of the site. What runs when is in the weekly plan.

An active holidaysport and nature for everyone

An active holiday here doesn't mean everyone has to do the same thing. Whether you fancy gentle movement or want to work up a proper sweat: the sports programme runs as guided classes at fixed times, across all age groups, from morning yoga to football in the evening.

Archery runs as a supervised session with instruction, and it is one of the few sports where beginners hit something on the first go. For team sport there's the football pitch and the volleyball court; turn up and you'll usually find enough people for two sides. Add gymnastics classes for older guests, and the water is on the doorstep anyway.

What runs when is in the weekly plan. Archery, ball sports and all fitness classes take place only as supervised sessions. We don't lend out sports equipment.

Ball games on the meadow, archery, jiu-jitsu for children and a gym for a round of your own: the sports programme runs daily and is free for guests. What happens when is in the programme.

  • Kitesurfing

Two surf schools sit on the site itself: Kitesplash by the rear beach access and Adventure Kite on pitch C 021. Both run courses at every level, first the basics and handling the kite, then onto the board.

  • Stand-up paddling

SUP is perfect for taking in the surroundings from the water, at your own pace. Boards and paddles are hired from the surf schools. The shallow bay in front of the site is ideal for your first attempts at standing up.

What you can do herethe good bits

  • Ball sports for everyone

Football on the big pitch, volleyball on the sand, table tennis at the tables. There are no fixed teams; whoever turns up joins in. On a campsite that is the usual way of meeting people without having to introduce yourself first.

  • Fitness in the fresh air

Yoga and pilates in the morning, plus aerobics, step aerobics and Zumba, and for anyone who wants to work hard, HIIT and circuit training. The classes are led by trainers who adapt the exercises when somebody can't keep up. Most of them take place outdoors, as long as the weather allows.

  • Sport that suits your age

Age-appropriate gymnastics, back fitness and quieter yoga sessions run as their own slots, not as a watered-down version of the regular class. The pace follows whoever turns up.

The programme, always with youhigh season and low

In high season the full programme runs: classes, tournaments and activities on almost every day. Out of season the offering is reduced, but then you usually have the courts to yourself.

Short-notice changes appear in the app first: cancelled classes, extra sessions, moved meeting points. The noticeboard at reception naturally lags behind.
