Made for children

Children's world

Magic shows, puppet theatre, an adventure playground and an activity team that comes up with something new every day.

One enormous playgroundonly better

Hello, adventurers! Our campsite is like one enormous playground, only better. There's something new every day: magic shows, gripping puppet theatre stories and real pirates (all right, almost real) to make you laugh, stare and join in.

On the big playground and at the football pitch you'll meet the other children from the site, usually on the first day. At archery you get an introduction and then a bow of your own. And if you're older already: the two surf schools on the site run courses in kite and windsurfing.

In the evening it changes again: bread twists over the campfire, the children's disco, and night walks that are meant to be spooky and usually end up funny. The activity team is around all day, even if you only want to talk to someone.

Ponies and alpacas at the Sunset Farmright next door

Our farm sits just behind the riding arena: alpacas to walk with, ponies for a first turn on the lead rope, and horses for a ride out through the dunes. For anyone who has never sat on a horse, too.

Booking happens beforehand and only over there. The animals have their routine and the groups are small. That is also where you find the free dates, the minimum ages and what it costs.

Alpaca walk
Head for the beach with an alpaca. The alpaca licence teaches you all about them, certificate included.
Lessons and rides
The basics in a group first, then out through the dunes and along the beach.
First rounds
Guided mini rides and lunge lessons for anyone who has never been on a pony.

What you can get up tothe good bits

Children and adults lined up for archery on the meadow
  • A playground to let loose on

Two big bouncy pillows, a climbing spider made of rope, a roundabout and several climbing walls. The roundabout spins faster than it looks, which you only ever notice afterwards. It's all outdoors and open all day, with nothing to sign up for.

  • Children's events

At the puppet theatre Kasper outwits the robber; at the magic show you sit at the front and try to work out how it's done. On theme days you rehearse for a circus performance or play out a pirate adventure, and at the children's party everything happens at once. The farm festival is the biggest date of the season: stroking animals, riding, and spending a day helping out on the farm.

  • Activities

In craft time dreamcatchers get made and sock puppets get sewn; on other days there's a treasure hunt across the whole site. At the baking and cooking sessions you end up with something you can actually eat. Then there are board game and card tournaments, bingo, children's yoga and the mini disco. What runs when is in the weekly plan.

  • Out on the beach

Exploring the natural beach: collecting stones, hunting for shells and seeing what the Baltic has washed up overnight.

  • Evenings by the fire

Bread twists over the embers, a children's disco, and spooky-but-funny night walks once it gets dark.

  • Sports programme

Football on the sports field, table tennis at the tables, beach volleyball next to the beach. Tournaments get arranged as soon as enough people want to join in. Then there's jiu-jitsu and archery as supervised sessions, surf courses with the schools on site, and Fehmarn is flat enough to ride round comfortably.

Something different every daythat is how full the week is

Theme days, stage shows, sport, craft sessions and something with lanterns or a campfire in the evening: the activity team puts together a new plan every week. What runs when is in the programme, in the Strandcamping app and on the noticeboard.
